Today I will show you how to make paperclips in 15 minutes or less! You can make almost anything into a paperclip.
Supplies that you will need are:
- Hot glue gun
- Any laminating sheets
- Any type of die cut
I will be using die cuts from my monthly planner subscription from The Planner Society. Check out her Instagram feed and subscribe if you love her products, https://www.instagram.com/theplannersociety/.
Step 1: Prep it!
Laminate the die cuts and trim off the edges. You can choose not to laminate your die cuts but the paperclip will last longer if you do.
Step 2: Glue it!
Once your hot glue is all fired up, lightly place some glue on the back of the paper, then apply 1/4 of the paperclip on the paper. I don't position the paperclip to high because I want to make sure it opens and close correctly.
Add more glue starting in the center and spread it around the paperclip. Press down on the paperclip to make sure its secure.
This is how the back looks after it dry. You can hide the dry glue or leave as is.
Step 3: Let it cool!
Let the glue cool down for 1-2 minutes and its ready to be used!
Here is the finish product! I hope you enjoy it!
